INTERESTS

I am very interested in fashion and I am currently Studying Fashion and Textile Retailing at Manchester University. After completing my course and gaining some valuable experience in a retail store, I hope to work in the fashion industry as a buyer or wholesaler. I have always wanted to work in this industry as it is constantly changing and in my opinion, that is what lends the fashion industry its excitement and glamour. I have enjoyed organising fashion shows at my secondary school (approaching local retailers to lend clothes for the show, choosing music, clothes, choreographing the walk, and designing and producing promotional materials such as posters). i have a keen interest in languages. My Mother is half French, half Spanish i have therefore grown up speaking and hearing different languages. At my sixth form i had the opportunity to carry out a basic course in Italian aswell. I take pleasure in socialising with my friends and work colleagues, as I am outgoing and easy to get on with, something I feel is important in the workplace

Working at Anna has been a valuable learning and working experience for me. I have had the opportunity to vist trade shows and event such as Premier Vision and London Fashion Week. Shop floor work has also broadened by knowledge about the importance of customer service and personalisation in small independents as competing attribute to an ever increasing sophisticated high street.

ABOUT ME

I would describe myself as a reliable, responsible and loyal person, who can work well in a team as well as independently. I am confident, enthusiastic and naturally outgoing. I am keen to develop my current skills and also build up new skills and experiences, and I am looking for an opportunity to do so.

FUTURE ASPIRATIONS

My dream job is to work as a buyer or wholesler in an extaiblished company. I would also like to make use of my language ability by having the opportunity to travel in my work.
